The Vice Chairman of Irepodun/ Ifelodun Local Government in Ekiti State,Honourable Aladeremi Babatunde has enjoined farmers in the country to embark on massive agricultural activities in the new year.
In an exclusive chat with Top People’s News Media in Igede Ekiti during the Armed Force’s Remeberance Jumat Service at the Igede Central Mosque,The Vice Chairman noted that farmers and government stand to gain much revenue from agriculture now that the venture is beginning to take lucrative form.
On the issue of herdsmen disturbance of farmers, the Vice Chairman emphatically says ” In Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, we have no security issues, there is peaceful atmosphere, There is no security threat here. we have been working and living together in harmony,we don’t have any problem whatsoever”.
The Vice Chairman also during the chat reiterates the local government’s commitment to continuously improve the welfare of the ex-servicemen in the council area revealing that government has lined up alot of packages to celebrate the living ex-soldiers and the family of the departed ex-servicemen.
On the hardship been experienced in the nation as a result of the new policies of the Federal Government, Honourable Babatunde enjoined the masses to exercise patience as the Renewal Agenda will soon bring forth fruits that will put smiles on the faces of Nigerians.
